Motivation
Deficit orientation still prevails in the field of mental health. There is hardly any focus on the development of vitality and resilience in a way that is appropriate for the target group. This project will close this gap with empirically based prevention measures and thus reduce the number of pathological cases.
Goals & Innovation
Through playful approaches, role-playing and the use of user-specific media (e.g. videos such as Tik Tok), using digital technologies, findings in brain research as well as mental interventions from the high-performance field, a holistic wellbeging process for young people motivated by intrinsic motivation is created.
In concrete terms, the aim is to put young adults in particular into situations using adventure scenarios in which they can, on the one hand, determine their current coping skills but, above all, also learn and try out techniques for dealing with crises. The current status is regularly assessed both subjectively and objectively (e.g. by sensors) and reflected back.
Intended results
The focus in the overall project is on empiricism and thus a very large participation of the target group, through an “open innovation” approach with “design thinking workshops”, from which a digital hybrid coaching system is developed, which can be supplemented with presence training & coaching. At the end of the project, with the help of pilot users from Austria and at least one other EU country, a market-ready offer will be developed to prevent mental health problems by using psychology, pedagogy and gamification and to build resilience in a self-determined way.
